welcome to my world
If the Earth
were only a few feet in
diameter, floating a few feet above
a field somewhere, people would come
from everywhere to marvel at it. People would
walk around it marveling at its big pools of water,
its little pools and the water flowing between the pools.
People would marvel at the very thin layer of gas surrounding
it and the water suspended in the gas. The people would
marvel at all the creatures walking around the surface of the
ball, and at the creatures in the water.
The people would declare
it as sacred because
it was the only one, and they would protect
it so that it would not hurt. The ball would be the
greatest wonder known, and people would come to
pray to it, to be healed, to gain knowledge, to know
beauty and to wonder how it could be. People
would love it, and defend it with their lives
because they would somehow know that
their lives, their own roundness, could
be nothing without it. If the
Earth were only a few
feet in diameter.

My thoughts and opinions
change from time to time…
I consider this a necessary consequence of having an open mind.
This weblog is intended to provide a semi-permanent point in
time snapshot and manifestation of the various memes running
around my brain, and as such any thoughts and opinions expressed
within out-of-date posts may not the same, nor even similar,
to those I may hold today.

My First Blog
Well....
Here we are again. When I say again, I mean I've had a few blogs before and I've never stuck to them. Its not for lack of thoughts, I just get bored relatively quickly.
Please bare with me as I find my bearings and get settled in. I shall try to produce innovative, interesting blogs that will hopefully keep your attention.
I'm going on a "no pork" journey. Its so hard for me to give up something that I've eaten all my life. Although, according to some....you can train the body and the mind to do anything.
I shall also try to reduce the amount of beef I eat. I know some who don't eat it at all, I am not that brave.
I do have a blog in mind....I'll have to do it another night, or a moment when I have some time to myself.
One last note, I'm watching this show on A&E and this group of tattoo artists visited a Buddhist temple and one of the men in the group was totally uncomfortable being there. However, instead of being respectful, he chose to scowl and eventually leave. His commentary afterwards was not pleasant to say the least. My question is, why can't people from different religions respect those from other religions? When did one religion become higher in the hierarchy than another?
Well, goodnight blogger word....until next time!
